What technology discussion would be complete in 2019 without mention to the ubiquitous blockchain. Blockchain technology was first invented in 2008 in a whitepaper put together by a person known as Satoshi Nakamoto. To this day the identity of Satoshi is not known, although a few people have claimed to be Satoshi, these claims have so far yet to be proven.
